Faith in Action - Biblical Foundation for Our Mission

At The Great House Fundraising, everything we do is rooted in biblical conviction. Our mission isn’t just a social initiative—it’s a spiritual calling. Let me share the scriptural foundation that guides our work.

The Call to Care for the Poor

Scripture is clear about our responsibility to those in need:

“The righteous care about justice for the poor, but the wicked have no such concern.” — Proverbs 29:7

Jesus made this even more direct:

“When you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing help to me.” — Matthew 25:45

This isn’t optional. Care for the poor and vulnerable isn’t a nice-to-have social program—it’s a direct command from Jesus himself.

Education & Mentorship

The Expectations Program isn’t just about academics—it’s about discipleship and development:

“Start children off on the way they should go; even when they are old they will not depart from it.” — Proverbs 22:6

Education opens doors. Mentorship shapes character. When we invest in students’ academic and spiritual development, we’re fulfilling our call to:

“Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.” — Matthew 19:14

Food, Shelter & Basic Needs

Our Food Bank and Hearts of Fire programs respond to Jesus’s example:

“Jesus said, ‘I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink…’” — Matthew 25:35-36

When we provide food and shelter, we’re not just meeting physical needs—we’re practicing the gospel. We’re demonstrating that God loves His people and cares about their basic well-being.

Healing & Wholeness

Our Counseling Services program reflects Jesus’s ministry of healing:

“Jesus went throughout Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom, and healing every disease and sickness among the people.” — Matthew 4:23

Mental health, emotional healing, and freedom from trauma are spiritual issues. When we provide counseling, we’re participating in Jesus’s healing ministry.

Disaster Relief & Compassion

When crisis strikes, our response is rooted in God’s compassion:

“Jesus wept.” — John 11:35

Sometimes the most profound response isn’t words—it’s presence and practical help. In disaster relief, we’re:

Showing up (incarnational presence)
Serving sacrificially (putting others first)
Demonstrating God’s love through action

International Missions

Our Foreign Missions program fulfills the Great Commission:

“Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.” — Matthew 28:19-20

But discipleship includes practical care. Jesus taught and healed. He fed people and touched them. Our international work combines spiritual transformation with practical development.

Faith Without Works

The theological heart of everything we do:

“Faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.” — James 2:26

This is our mission statement in a verse. We believe God calls us to act—not just pray, not just wish, but actively serve and transform communities.

The Divine Harvest Vision

Our flagship vision—“A Divine Harvest of Twenty-First Century Successful Women”—is rooted in scriptural truth:

“His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things.’” — Matthew 25:21

When women realize their full potential, when they overcome barriers and lead change—that’s a divine harvest. That’s the fulfillment of:

“For no one is cast off by the Lord.” — Lamentations 3:31

Community & Body of Christ

Our partnership model reflects Paul’s teaching on the body of Christ:

“The body is a unit, though it is made up of many parts… If one part suffers, every part suffers with it; if one part is honored, every part rejoices with it.” — 1 Corinthians 12:12, 26

We can’t transform communities alone. We need churches, businesses, volunteers, and partners working together. That’s the body of Christ in action.

Prayer as Foundation

We are uniquely a House of Prayer because Jesus taught:

“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.” — Matthew 7:7-8

Our programs are bathed in prayer. Our team prays. Our prayer partners intercede. We’ve witnessed miracles that can only be explained by God’s direct intervention.

Generosity & Stewardship

Our approach to giving and stewardship is rooted in biblical principle:

“It is more blessed to give than to receive.” — Acts 20:35

When you give financially, when you volunteer, when you pray—you’re not just helping others. You’re experiencing the blessing of being a channel of God’s blessing to the world.

The Calling

This work is not about us or our organization. It’s about God’s kingdom breaking into broken places:

“Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” — Matthew 6:10

Every tutored student, every meal provided, every person healed, every woman empowered to lead—that’s the kingdom of God coming to earth. That’s God’s will being done in real communities with real people.
